Historical note:
It is a French variety that, been imported in Friuli,
was like finding out a new home, as it can be considered
as one of the main items of Friulan wine industry.
As for typical subtlety and character, induced by
Friulan climate and soil, Merlot wine here is unique,
distinguishing itself by quality from homonymous wines
being mass-produced in other regions.
Its vegetation is rich and long in time, fertility is
pretty good and products show to be excellent under any
condition and anywhere for their fit spirituosness and
full body, helping the utmost distribution of this
variety.

Features:
The colour is rubin red, of changing depth, turning to
burgundy red after short ageing; the bouquet is complete
and fragrant, with delicate scent of raspberry,
blackberry, blueberry.

It tastes soft, dry, with a balanced and tasty body, and
a light herbaceous hint as well. When aged, it refines
in ethereal bouquet and bitterish taste. To be
preferably served with: red meat dishes, roast meat,
poultry, rabbit, half-mature cheese. To be served at 18
°C.
