Historical note:
This vine should be considered as a colour variation of
Black Pinot being, the result of a gemmary mutation of
the black-grape variety; in Friuli region it found
favourable climate conditions to grow.
-
Features:
This wine has character, being strictly vinified "in
white". Its bouquet is clear and strong, with scent of
acacia flower. It tastes dry, soft, full, palatably
bitterish, with remarkable hints of mugweed.
To be preferably served with: it fits very good with
hors d’oeuvres, and namely: prosciutto, light soups,
fish and white meat dishes. It plays well as appetizer
wine, too. To be served at 8-10 °C.
